Located just outside of Washington DC, this beautiful new building is both elegant and lively. Designed for young professionals, the building features a lobby, sales office, lounge, roof top terrace, and model apartments designed in soft hues with bursts of color - all designed by the talented Felicia Zwebner. Felicia Zwebner Design is pleased to announce we have a new team member, Julia Starcke!  Staging in Extell Development's One57 Building Felicia shares Design Tips at Yeshiva University's event to support the Stern College for Women. As a graduate of YU, Felicia was honored to stage the event and share insider advice with fellow alumni.  FZ Collection's Avenue Chairs, Gem Sofa, andLang Coffee Tablecreate an elegant lounge in the sky, at Extell Development's One57 building overlooking Central Park. Sushi chefs provided an endless supply of fresh sushi to the guests. The elegant display was as almost too pretty to eat!

New to FZ Collection in 2014 Looking Ahead: The Carlton House Felicia Zwebner Design is in the process of completing an installation for Extell Development at their luxury building, The Carlton House. A former landmark hotel, this historic building has been completely renovated into luxury residences. We are excited to work with Extell and their sales team to design the model apartment. Keep an eye out for photos of the finished space in our next newsletter.  Giving Back: Charitable & Community Events Felicia Zwebner Design participated in the inaugural New York Designer Showhouse to Benefit Lenox Hill Hospitallocated at the W Residences in the W Hotel - Downtown. Our ultimate bachelor pad was inspired by the sweeping views of the New York Harbor and the nearby financial district, and showcased furniture donated by Fendi Casaand FZ Collection, and high end art and sculpture. Learn more about the FZ Penthouse on our blog.  The annual Kips Bay Dinner cruise will be docking at the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park Boathouse. Happy 2014!

We may only be a few weeks in to the New Year but we already know 2014 is going to be a big year for Felicia Zwebner Design & FZ Collection! Before we dive into the New Year, let's reflect on the success of 2013!

In addition to our many commercial, hospitality, and residential design projects, Felicia Zwebner Design & FZ Collection were featured at several industry events, received considerable media attention, and underwent big growth spurts this past year. Here are a few of our favorite moments from 2013:

New Name, New Office, New Website

2013 was a year of many changes for Felicia Zwebner Design. Last spring, we officially changed our name from the former Art De Triomphe, to Felicia Zwebner Design; over the summer we moved into new offices in Chelsea, Manhattan; and this winter we launched our newly designed website!

We are pleased to announce the completion of our new website, which reflects the services and elevated aesthetic of both Felicia Zwebner Design and FZ Collection! Be sure to browse our entire website and portfolio online!

Avenue Art Antiques & Design Show

This past fall, FZ collection was invited to design the lounge at Avenue Magazines's Antiques Art & Design show hosted in the historic Park Avenue Armory. Drawing inspiration from her favorite fashion icons, Coco Chanel and Alexander McQueen, Felicia updated our favorite signature pieces with chic furs and velvets, courtesy of Christian Fischbacher. 

We were so honored to be a part of the event that Felicia designed a new piece, just for the show! The Avenue armchair was influenced by a mid century-modern chair Felicia grew up with. White velvet and crystal buttons on a tufted back add flare to this glamorous wing chair.

Market Week at the D&D Building

Felicia presented The Art of Staging at Romo during Fall Market at the Decoration & Design Building in NYC. Felicia's words of wisdom were well received by designers and real estate agents alike. Interested learning more about staging? Watch the highlights online!

2013 was a big year for FZ Collection and the D&D Building! In April, our Romeo settee debuted in the Romo Black window and our furniture line launched as the new showroom display at Christian Fischbacher during Market week in October! Now, FZ Collection is available through Romo and Christian Fischbacher in the D&D Building (NYC), as well as Anthony Lawrence Belfair in NYC and Stephen Baker Turner in Florida.  

HOTEC

Team FZ headed down to Arizona this summer to represent our furniture at HOTEC North America, a conference that brings together vendors and purchasers in the hospitality industry. After days spent meeting with potential clients, Felicia & Joao beat out the competition in a Salsa making contest!

Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club

Felicia Zwebner Design was asked to transform the laundry room of the Kips Bay Decorator's Show House last year. Due to limited time and resources, turning this small space into a beautiful sitting room was nothing short of a miracle. We had to completely reconstruct the walls and floors before we could install tile or wallpaper. The final result, which was inspired by World Class Luxury Travel, was a stunning space that shimmered like the inside of an oyster shell. International Gem Tower, NYC

One of the highlights of this year's projects was the lobby and model office at the new International Gem Tower in NYC. A kinetic sculpture and our stainless steel Basel bench add motion and elegance to this expansive lobby.

Our William sofa, Charles Wing Chair, and Leah coffee table in black lacquer with rock crystal glass inlay paired with beautiful art make this stunning corner office feel welcoming...the view isn't so bad either!

Media Publications

FZ Collection earned considerable attention in design publications this year. Not only were the Raquel settee, Lesab coffee table, and Clenos console featured in numerous articles about the Kips Bay Decorator's Show house, our Raquel settee was also featured in the Fall edition of Luxe Magazine! 

We were delighted to have two of our signature pieces, the Joao coffee table in Ebony Macassar wood and the Z chair in Mahogany, recommended as top picks by Design NJ. 

2014: The Premier

A Note From The Editor:

Felicia Zwebner Design & FZ Collection have had a very exciting Spring and are already full swing with Summer events and projects. FZ Collection made its debut at the D&D with our Romeo bench featured in the new Romo Black window, and will soon be featured in the Christian Fischbacher showroom! In June, FZ Design & FZ Collection moved into a new office in Chelsea, Manhattan. We are very excited to be in New York City and are ready for new adventures.  I look forward to sharing our good news and updates. I wish everyone an enjoyable and prosperous summer!

Where Art Meets Design

Opening soon is the new Extell Development International Gem Tower! Located in the heart of the Diamond District, this new marquee office building on 47th street in NYC features a Felicia Zwebner Designed lobby. FZ Design selected a stunning sculpture and painting, and designed FZ Collection's new Basel bench specifically for this project.

Inspired by a sculpture that Felicia saw at Art Basel Miami, the Basel bench is comprised of strips of steel that ebb and flow around each other, mimicking the motion of the wall sculpture.  Felicia also discovered Pedro Movellan's awe inspiring Levantar sculpture at Art Basel. Levantar uses air jets to move each piece at timed intervals creating the illusion of a fluttering ribbon. Ellen Berkenblit's abstract painting of flowers and the bright red of Movellan's Levantar introduce bursts of color into the lobby.

Felicia's vision for the lobby to serve as a reception area complete with art and furniture that is of equal caliber to the high-end jewelers who occupy the building, has come to fruition with these unique pieces.

Felicia Zwebner Honored by Emunah Organization 

Emunah, the Israeli women's charitable organization for empowered women, recognized Felicia as a talented interior designer and upstanding member of her community. 

Felicia regularly participates in designer show houses that raise money for community organizations and charities as well as volunteer teaches art history at a local school. Most recently, Felicia contributed to the Kips Bay Show House, which raises money for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.

Kips Bay Showhouse

This Spring, Felicia was asked to design a room for the Kips Bay Show House. Inspired by international travel, Felicia created an elegant sitting room around the theme of "World Class Luxury Travel."

Felicia's attention to detail and use of art as well as luxurious fabrics and unique furniture earned her attention from Michael Boodro, Editor in Chief of Elle Decor.

Coming soon to the D&D in NYC!

Starting this summer, the Christian Fischbacher showroom in the D&D Building in NYC will undergo a Felicia Zwebner Design transformation and showcase FZ Collection furniture. Christian Fischbacher sells high end luxury fabrics to the trade and is located at 979 Third Ave Suite 411, New York, NY 10022.

Among the featured pieces, is the Lesab coffee table (pictured above). Inspired by a sculpture Felicia saw at Art Basel Miami, this metal and mother of pearl table was first seen at the Kips Bay show house.
