Happy 2014!

We may only be a few weeks in to the New Year but we already know 2014 is going to be a big year for Felicia Zwebner Design & FZ Collection! Before we dive into the New Year, let's reflect on the success of 2013!

In addition to our many commercial, hospitality, and residential design projects, Felicia Zwebner Design & FZ Collection were featured at several industry events, received considerable media attention, and underwent big growth spurts this past year. Here are a few of our favorite moments from 2013:

New Name, New Office, New Website

2013 was a year of many changes for Felicia Zwebner Design. Last spring, we officially changed our name from the former Art De Triomphe, to Felicia Zwebner Design; over the summer we moved into new offices in Chelsea, Manhattan; and this winter we launched our newly designed website!

We are pleased to announce the completion of our new website, which reflects the services and elevated aesthetic of both Felicia Zwebner Design and FZ Collection! Be sure to browse our entire website and portfolio online!

Avenue Art Antiques & Design Show

This past fall, FZ collection was invited to design the lounge at Avenue Magazines's Antiques Art & Design show hosted in the historic Park Avenue Armory. Drawing inspiration from her favorite fashion icons, Coco Chanel and Alexander McQueen, Felicia updated our favorite signature pieces with chic furs and velvets, courtesy of Christian Fischbacher. 

We were so honored to be a part of the event that Felicia designed a new piece, just for the show! The Avenue armchair was influenced by a mid century-modern chair Felicia grew up with. White velvet and crystal buttons on a tufted back add flare to this glamorous wing chair.

Market Week at the D&D Building

Felicia presented The Art of Staging at Romo during Fall Market at the Decoration & Design Building in NYC. Felicia's words of wisdom were well received by designers and real estate agents alike. Interested learning more about staging? Watch the highlights online! 

FZ Collection's Alexander Bench looks sophisticated and chic in the upstairs Romo window. 

2013 was a big year for FZ Collection and the D&D Building! In April, our Romeo settee debuted in the Romo Black window and our furniture line launched as the new showroom display at Christian Fischbacher during Market week in October! Now, FZ Collection is available through Romo and Christian Fischbacher in the D&D Building (NYC), as well as Anthony Lawrence Belfair in NYC and Stephen Baker Turner in Florida.  

HOTEC

Team FZ headed down to Arizona this summer to represent our furniture at HOTEC North America, a conference that brings together vendors and purchasers in the hospitality industry. After days spent meeting with potential clients, Felicia & Joao beat out the competition in a Salsa making contest!

Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club

Felicia Zwebner Design was asked to transform the laundry room of the Kips Bay Decorator's Show House last year. Due to limited time and resources, turning this small space into a beautiful sitting room was nothing short of a miracle. We had to completely reconstruct the walls and floors before we could install tile or wallpaper. The final result, which was inspired by World Class Luxury Travel, was a stunning space that shimmered like the inside of an oyster shell. International Gem Tower, NYC

One of the highlights of this year's projects was the lobby and model office at the new International Gem Tower in NYC. A kinetic sculpture and our stainless steel Basel bench add motion and elegance to this expansive lobby.

Our William sofa, Charles Wing Chair, and Leah coffee table in black lacquer with rock crystal glass inlay paired with beautiful art make this stunning corner office feel welcoming...the view isn't so bad either!

Media Publications

FZ Collection earned considerable attention in design publications this year. Not only were the Raquel settee, Lesab coffee table, and Clenos console featured in numerous articles about the Kips Bay Decorator's Show house, our Raquel settee was also featured in the Fall edition of Luxe Magazine! 

We were delighted to have two of our signature pieces, the Joao coffee table in Ebony Macassar wood and the Z chair in Mahogany, recommended as top picks by Design NJ.
